January 30, 2016 ~ Derwin Trigleth and Justin Francisco drove to Hugo, NC to pick up over 2,000 pounds of sweet potatoes. These huge potatoes, which were donated by a local farm, were distributed by the Hem Of His Garment. All were taken within three days. Our SoSA/Hunger program, led by Derwin Trigleth, assists in the collection, transportation, and distribution of free food (eggs, garden fruits and vegetables) to those in need around the local communities.

On October 26, 2014 Derwin Trigleth and Justin Francisco (pictured) went to Clinton NC to pick up chicken eggs for distribution through the Hem of His Garment. Sometimes eggs are too small for grocery stores to purchase, so hatcheries donate them to a good cause. Derwin, Chair of our Society of St. Andrew mission, expected to pick up about 100 dozen eggs. The donation was only 75 dozen. Still - enough to feed many.
