Family Life & Ministry Center
Swansboro United Methodist Church and the
community served by our church is experiencing unprecedented growth!
As a result, a new Family Life & Ministry Center was approved in the fall of 2011.
Our Vision: We are building for today and for the future, by accommodating our growing need for an expanded Contemporary Worship space, adding children’s and adult classrooms, enlarging fellowship areas, creating new youth activity areas, and increasing our capability to support outreach ministries.

May 15, 2013: A message from our pastor
It has been seven long years since the conception of our Family Life & Ministry Center, and the vision that many have nurtured over these past seven years will soon become a reality. With the overwhelming approval of two Church Conferences, we can now proceed with the hope of the official ground-breaking on Sunday, June 30th. With the expectation of approximately one year of construction, we are well on our way to being able to accommodate our growing ministry and outreach. We will be able to fellowship together in a new dining hall, with an adjoining state of the art kitchen, a larger space to grow the successful contemporary service, classrooms for the confirmation class, and newer and larger classrooms for our children’s ministry.
The Family Life & Ministry Center will redefine our church as to possibilities for ministry, not only from within our own ministry needs, but also by better fulfilling the ministry needs of missions far beyond our church doors. Even during the construction you will experience a renewed spirit of hope and excitement as we witness God’s Kingdom growing before our very eyes. In the words of one of our beloved church member, whose life we celebrated a short time ago, “Being a part of something this big for the glory of God becomes contagious; people want to become a part of something new and exciting that brings people together.”
Being a part of this building project will be a once-in-a-life time experience for many. In the course of one’s lifetime, many do not get the chance to become a part of a church raising a church from the ground. Most churches today have long since been built or stand in need of repair. Most church building projects can expect a twenty percent growth in membership because people want to be a part of a church that is growing and moving forward.
I invite you to come and be a part of this contagious spirit that is taking place in your church. This is an exciting time to be a member of Swansboro United Methodist Church, and to embrace the vision God placed in the hearts of our congregation seven years ago!
