Blessings In 2015 

*** Child care is provided on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the church so that parents may participate in choir and other meetings happening there. ***

February ~ Everyone in the SUMC family is invited and encouraged to be a part of our new pictorial directory. You may schedule a portrait session online or see one of the volunteers before or after worship service on February 7 or 14. Portraits will be taken during the month of March. More info

Friday, February 12, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. ~ Parents' Night Out. Jenna McCullar, Callie Copeland, Ashley Hypes, Kamryn Haut, and Lydia Cauley will be hosting a Parents' Night Out. Bring the kids and go out to eat and have some alone time. These High School ladies are attending Global Vision, a Conference Youth Event, where they will travel to DC and NYC to learn more about Domestic Violence. So, they are raising money to help pay for their trip. We will take care of the kids, by donation, and you go out to eat! Please have kids eat dinner prior to coming, snacks will be provided.

Sunday, February 14, 6:30 p.m. ~ Prayer Vigil in the Sanctuary. TODAY PRAY for the sad, the hurt, the abused- all those needing more love and peace in their world. Our prayer flags will bless us along with music, the word and unhurried time to pray. It’s for all who believe prayer works. Wednesday, February 17, 12 noon ~ Lenten Service with Dr. Ed Gunter in Sanctuary, followed by light lunch in Assembly Hall

Thursday, February 18: 

  • 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. ~ Crown Biblical Financial Study begins. The purpose of the study is to teach God's financial principles for our lives and the ten-week study is open to singles and couples.   • 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. ~ Deepening Your Devotional Life: Scriptural models for contemplation. Sign up with Jim at 910.478.9727 for this new Growth Group.
  • 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. ~ Beginning of forty day program called the Daniel Plan. The Daniel Plan is far more than a diet program. It is a lifestyle program based on biblical principles and five essential components: Food, Fitness, Focus, Faith and Friends. The meetings will begin at 6:30  and end by 8:00 . Child care will be provided. Please join me on this journey to health. Pastor Scott
