Sunday School
Adult Classes
JOY Class The Joy Class is a collection of Christian men and women at different places in their journey of faith. The class joyfully shares a vital ministry of prayer, cards, and missions, and we welcome all to our class as our ages span decades. Even though we are a large class, we discuss, laugh, sometimes cry, and care for one another and the community around us, and all participation is voluntary. Contact Marilyn Boyce at 910.326.4897 for information about the current class study. Listen to Dr. Ed Gunter's visit with the JOY Class July 11, 2010. | |

Emmaus Class
The Emmaus Class was formed originally in 1996 as a Pastors' "Methodism 101" course which studied UM Doctrine, John Wesley, and spiritual formation. From this original group, the Emmaus class came into being in 1999. Adults of various ages enjoy the study of scripture through classic and contemporary literature. Though this group is small, it works! Several of the classmates serve as Children Sunday school teachers every other month, and yet others fill church leadership positions, so a flexible study is offered where others can always join in.
Contact Bren Feutz at brenfeutz1@yahoo.com for additional information about this class.

| Seekers Class Our name identifies our members as "Seekers." As such, the class searches the scriptures in order to discern God's purpose for our lives; and discerning God's purpose, to act on it. The class uses the International Series for their Sunday School material. Our slogan is “WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM, AND SO DO WE.” | ![]() |
Families in Faith Class
Families come in all shapes and sizes. Families in Faith have one thing in common; the love of Jesus Christ. Come join us for 'fun' discussions each Sunday as we grow together in His love. We rotate teachers, who are really more like facilitators, each week. All are welcome!
The Sojourners class was formed in 1988. Our course of study is the Holy Scriptures contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Our aim is to provide an in-depth study of scripture beginning with the historical setting of the writing and the original meaning to the first readers. There is also emphasis upon the interpretation and use though out the history of the church, and application of these texts in our own day. The class is open to adults of all ages. We recently began a new study – “The Gospel According to Mark.”
