Seniors AGLOW

WE ARE NEW AND IMPROVED! The old Prime Time Players group has changed! (Yes, old people can change!) We are now "Seniors AGLOW" (All God's Loving Older Warriors). Are you 50ish or older? Do you want to go places and do things with friends? Do you want to enjoy a lunch and fellowship with other folks? Then we're looking for YOU to join our group.

Seniors AGLOW usually meets on the first Thursday of each month at noon. We eat at local restaurants or have covered dish/catered lunches in our church fellowship hall. We also plan educational programs and/or entertainment for each gathering. We are open for ideas and volunteers! If you need transportation, we'll gladly pick you up and take you home. Just say "yes" and someone will be there for you! Join this fellowship and fun... and you can be "new and improved" too.

Contact Lynn Rouse (910.326.4095 or LRouse@ec.rr.com) or Nancy Burnette (910.326.5650) for additional information.

Previous Luncheons/Activities

Our April 8th day trip to the Rocky Hock Playhouse in Washington, NC was wonderful. The Easter story, By His Stripes, a new play written by Gloria Emmerich, was told in music, song and drama.

Seniors AGLOW met in our fellowship hall on
January 7th. After a delicious lunch catered
by Chowdaheads, we played board games
and answered (or tried to answer) trivia
questions related to North Carolina.

Christmas Trip to Myrtle Beach
Carolina Opry Christmas Special

Fifty-three senior citizens, many from our Seniors AGLOW, traveled to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. The day was just perfect, the food at Ryan's Steakhouse was delicious and plentiful, and the Carolina Opry Christmas Special could not have been more beautiful. It put everyone in a joyful, holiday spirit. A great time was had by all.
