August 4, 2010 ~ Guest speakers from Carteret Correctional Facility and our Disciple Bible Outreach Ministry (DBOM) shared their testimonies. One of our first DBOM graduates, Johnathan Stevenson, aka "Smoke," performed his instrumental and vocal music for us again... and gave us an update on his life outside of prison. Those who witnessed Smoke's spirit in June, 2009 and those who hadn't previously met him were amazed at the transformation that Jesus can make in a life.

July 7, 2010 ~ Our guest speaker, Pastor Rick Moser of Northwoods UMC, told us about the new Family Promise program. Our Swansboro UMC Trustees and Council on Ministries support this new Mission & Outreach program which is "in the making."

and recent graduates of the program shared how much it helped them.
