Interfaith Hospitality Network
An informational meeting to investigate forming an Interfaith Hospitality Network in Onslow County for housing homeless families and children in churches a week at a time was held at Northwoods UMC in Jacksonville on February 9th. Haiti Mission Work Team

Hannah's Socks
Swansboro UMC member Tori Hypes, an 8th grader at Swansboro Middle School, collected new socks to send to "Hannah's Socks," a non-profit organization in Ohio. The response was overwhelming; our Sunday School members donated over 400 pairs of socks!
Hannah's Socks is a non-profit organization focused on providing clothing necessities to the less fortunate. Hannah's Socks collects donated materials in the form of men's, women's and children's socks, then leverages partnerships with local shelters for distribution to both the homeless and to victims of domestic violence. In addition, they support programs serving under-privileged children.
