Current Needs
We need GREETERS for the 11 a.m. service! It's a great way to meet more of your church family and a really easy job. You only need to smile and say "Good Morning." Please contact Sharon Gante at 252.354.4093 if you are willing to help.We also need USHERS for both the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Please contact Bren Feutz at 910.326.4517 for the 8:30 service and Jim Rouse at 910.326.4095 for the 11:00 service if you are willing to serve.
The Second Sunday Food Collections continue to be an important SUMC mission effort. The staff at Silverdale Elementary School sent a note of appreciation to our church. Due to our generosity, more needy student/families have been added to those being helped. As a result, “Manna,” our SUMC hunger emphasis committee, is suggesting that our Second Sunday food collections will go regularly to Silverdale. The food items suggested by the school’s staff, include: instant oatmeal, grits or cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna or white chicken, apple sauce, granola bars and crackers. Microwaveable beans-wieners, macaroni/cheese, beef ravioli, spaghetti/meat balls, and soups are also listed. “Manna” is also seeking volunteers for our increasingly busy mission work.
